JOHNSON’S CAFE IN MANALI
Let me introduce you to one of the finest cafes I’ve had the pleasure of visiting in Manali. Nestled against a backdrop of snow-covered mountains, this charming café boasts the most enchanting ambiance in town. But don’t just take my word for it—experience it for yourself. You’ll have the option to dine al fresco, surrounded by lush green floral gardens that offer a warm welcome.
Now, if evenings are more your style, buckle up because you’re about to fall head over heels for this place. As the sun sets, the dimly lit area comes alive with the crackling warmth of a bonfire, casting a cozy glow over the surroundings.
Now, let’s talk about the menu. While it may be limited, it features the best of European classics, promising a delightful culinary experience. As for the prices, they do run a tad higher, but trust me, the experience is worth every penny.
Location– Circuit House Road, Siyal, Manali (Himachal Pradesh).
Highlight– The highlights of the café are rustic wooden furniture and retro music album posters on the walls. And of course, the live music.

PEOPLE ART CAFE AND LOUNGE MANALI
Ohkie, first of all, great food and with just great music… I think it is perfect. If you are an evening person, live techno music is a real charm. Just sit and relax the chill of the night in the warmth of music plus delicious food. You will get a mix of everyone and everything here which makes it stand apart from others while maintaining its standard.
Location- It is located right opposite the Lazy Dog Café (see the next number on my list).
Highlight: if you are a lover of trance and psychedelic music, well you have come to the right place. With live techno music and cuisines from over 5 countries, you are gonna love it.
Must-Have food- Pad Thai Noodles, Burgers, Sushi (price for two around ₹500).

THE LAZY DOG CAFE IN MANALI
The location, the food, the music everything is just perfect. What else one can ask for? Commenting on the price here you can just enjoy the best food along with your fav drinks without burning a hole in your pocket.
Location– Manu Temple Road, Old Manali (Himachal Pradesh).
Highlights– the live performances by famous bands like Rudra and Local Train (please note- only during the peak season from May to July) and you sitting within the close proximity to the river flowing by just adds to the charm of the place. It makes the ambiance more serene.
Must have food- desserts (or you can say sweet dish) it will cost you around ₹ 500 for two.

CAFE 1947 IN MANALI
well, just one thing the vibes of this place will keep you coming back to this place, nestled beside River Beas. You have an option to sit outside but if you choose to sit inside make sure to get a window seat to enjoy the surreal view the place has to offer while relishing one of the best continental cuisines in here.
Location– on the way back to Manu temple, a little café on a corner of the Old Manali Bridge.
Highlights– they serve cold beers and sheesha (of average quality). If you come here in the evening, live music takes evenings spent here to whole another level (maybe a different world).
Must have food- burgers, pizzas, and pasta (my fav.) it will cost you around ₹ 500 for two.

DRIFTER’S CAFE IN MANALI
Here we go again to the champ which Old Manali has to offer. This is the hidden gem (maybe ruby) of the place which really good care of your breakfast moods. I mean what’s there not to like- there is live music, lovely interiors, delicious food, and indoor board games to pass the time. To get the delightful experience to its I will recommend you to visit it in the peak season.
Location– Manu temple road, Old Manali (Himachal Pradesh).
Highlights– the warmth and coziness brought to you by the fireplace are sure gonna steal your heart. It gets even better with Hindi and English classics played by local bands in the evening. There is a provisional separate BAR MENU available for our cocktail fanatics.
