The summer season from April to June is quite hot with temperatures of 35 degrees Celsius. The best months to visit Rishikesh is in February and March and from August to October. 1. Laxman Jhula Rishikesh
Laxman Jhula is one of the most prominent places that are located on Rishikesh. It is a 450 feet long suspension bridge that is located at the height of 70 feet from the river. This bridge was built in the year 1939, this bridge is an important attraction as it is believed that it is the same place where Lord Laxman crossed the River Ganga on a jute rope.
You will find a number of cafes on both sides of the bridge, the popular places you should visit are Laxman Temple and Tera Manzil Mandir that is situated nearby. When you are crossing the bridge then you must stop in the middle and just soak in the view of the hills all around you. Nothing is more beautiful than this.
2. Ram Jhula Rishikesh
A few miles downstream of the Laxman Jhula there is another Jhula that is called Ram Jhula. Ram Jhula is almost similar in its structure and construction, this bridge was built in 1980, a little later than Laxman Jhula. As you cross this suspension, you will witness the Himalayas peeking out of clouds on clear days and the River Ganga gushing down in the full flow.

The bridge is also renowned for linking two famous ashrams in the town, the first is Swarg Ashram and the other is the Sivananda Ashram. Beatles Ashram is formerly known as Chaurasi Kutia and is one of the most famous ashrams that are located in Rishikesh. The members of the band practice mediation and composed a number of good songs in this place.
