1. Laxman Jhula Rishikesh

Laxman Jhula is one of the most prominent places that are located on Rishikesh. It is a 450 feet long suspension bridge that is located at the height of 70 feet from the river. This bridge was built in the year 1939, this bridge is an important attraction as it is believed that it is the same place where Lord Laxman crossed the River Ganga on a jute rope.

You will find a number of cafes on both sides of the bridge, the popular places you should visit are Laxman Temple and Tera Manzil Mandir that is situated nearby. Beatles Ashram is formerly known as Chaurasi Kutia and is one of the most famous ashrams that are located in Rishikesh. This place received a lot of hype and achieved worldwide recognition after the Beatles band of Liverpool came to stay there in 1996. The members of the band practice mediation and composed a number of good songs in this place.

Later, the ashram was left abandoned but was reopened for tourists in 2015. At present, the Beatles Ashram is visited by both locals and tourists of which most of the travelers are Beatles band fans.
