Shimla to Kufri Hills by Road
There are direct cabs from Shimla to Kufri. Traveling by car or cab is the easiest and cheapest way to reach Kufri. You can hire a cab easily from anywhere in Shimla and also you can book it online. The minimum time taken by cab or car from Shimla is around 40-50 minutes.
Shimla to Kufri Bus fare
There are Frequent buses of the Himachal state transport corporation, which are not that expensive it costs you around Rs 40 to Rs 50. Some buses are direct buses from Shimla to Kufri and others are for villages which lies ahead to Kufri, as Kufri is in their path so they can also drop you at Kufri. But the timings of the buses are fixed so you have to be at that time. So, in this way, the bus can be a little bad option for you. State-owned buses as well as the private AC and Non-AC buses, are also available from Shimla to Kufri.

The first bus departs from Shimla to Kufri around 5:00 Am in the Morning, Which costs you around INR40/- per person, Buses are running quite frequently you get a bus from Shimla to Kufri every 1.5 hours. The road from Shimla to Kufri via Dhalli is a mix of some good and bad patches, so it is an average type of Road. There are some really dusty and rough patches. But the sceneries around you keeps your mood happy, with some smooth curves, blue sky, pines and oak valley, and a good environment.
How to reach Kufri by Toy train?
Shimla is connected by a narrow-gauge line with Kalka which is about 100 KMS away from Shimla and Kalka is also well connected with the major cities of the country. So, you have to take that toy train from Kalka to Shimla and that travel can take up to 6-7 hours. This journey passes through 107 tunnels and numbers of lofty arched bridges. The frequency of trains on this route is pretty good, with at least four trains within a day. After that from Shimla to Kufri, you have to hire a cab.

How to reach Kufri by air?
The nearest airport to Kufri is the Jubbarhatti airport in Shimla which is about 15 km from Shimla. However, this airport has only a limited number of flights in a week. Also, there is one more convenient airport near Kufri is Chandigarh airport about 138 km away from Kufri. Buses and cabs are available in a frequent manner from these two airports to reach Kufri.

The entry fee for The Himalayan Nature Park is Rs 20 for adults and Rs 10 for children.
Green Valley Kufri Hills
With the mountains filled with deodar and pine trees, Green Valley is on the way from Shimla to Kufri. Feed your wanderlust with this green beauty of Green Valley. As you go inside the forest, you have the view of Yaks grazing the fields and a number of varieties of plants. As the name of this place is Green Valley it is covered with a lush green blanket of forest.
Green Valley Kufri Hills is open from 6 am in the morning to 6.30 pm in the evening, there is no entry fee to enter in the valley.
Indira Tourist Park Kufri Hills
One of the most famous and most visited tourist spots in Kufri, Indira Tourist Park. It is not just a park but a lot more!
It is believed that Indira Gandhi visited this place in 1972 when she came to Shimla for signing the Shimla Agreement, since then this place is named Indira Tourist Park.
For refreshment, there is a beer bar, a video game parlor, and an ice cream parlor in the Lalit Café which is under the control of HPTDC–Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation. So, visitors can enjoy it here in every way. Visitors can take photos in Himachali traditional dresses for making it a more memorable vacation.
Indian Tourist Park Kufri Hills is open from 9 am in the morning to 6 pm in the evening. The entry fee is Rs 10 per adult and Rs 5 per child.
Fun World Kufri
Kufri Fun World is an amusement park that offers you lots of fun rides, adventurous sports and there is also a cafeteria that offers you some really good food and snacks. Kufri Fun World is one of the most amusing tourist places in Kufri. This park is also having Zip-lining, bungee jumping, mirror maze, sky swinging, haunted house this campus has all of it. Apart from these snow skating, go-karting, infinity room, and other adventures that will definitely make you visit this place again.
Fun World Kufri is open from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm on all days. This park has an entry fee of around 300 Rs per person.
Mahasu Peak Kufri Hills
Mahasu peak is one of the highest peaks in Kufri. Mahasu point offers you breath-taking views of holy pilgrims like Badrinath and Kedarnath ranges. The magic of nature and attractions of Kufri can be seen from this peak, which can be strolled by horses or mules as the path is too much muddy, and cannot be roamed around on foot.

Best time to visit Kufri Hills
The best time to visit Kufri is between the months of October to March. These are the months of the winter season at this time this place is covered with snow all over. This is the time when you can enjoy the skiing activity to its fullest. There are also many events taking place at this time.
The month of October marks the onset of the winter season which continues till the month of March. If you want to experience the freezing cold weather of this place so, this is just the right time to hit the place. But I advise you to carry some warm heavy jackets, sweaters and a good pair of shoes to walk on the blanket of the snow all over.
